Santa Ana is ideally located just outside of San José at the base of a verdant green mountain range. It is a close drive to either the Juan Santa Maria International Airport or the Pavas Regional Airport. Santa Ana is a Costa Rican town with character and is well known for the hand made ceramic crafts sold here.
Coming from San José you leave the highway 27 running from San Jose to Orotina at the exit of Santa Ana. You will take the first left hand turn and drive straight until you get to the red cross (cruz roja). It will be on your left. Take an left at the red cross toward Santa Ana Centro. Follow the road and take the second to the left. Follow this road until you reach a T. Take a right and drive 3 and a half blocks. We are on the right hand side across from the New way High School. There are many well known restaurants in the area such as El Ceviche del Rey (Peruvian), Bacchus (Italian, Mediterranean), El Old West (Costa Rican, American), Doris (Gourmet, best meat you ever had), Lo Spago (Italian), Bufalos y más (bufalo meat) and a lot of small, cheap Sodas.
El Coco Bar: A little older crowd. Good and cheap appetizers. Perfect service. Oldest Bar in town.

Cima Hospital: One of the best hospitals in the country. Many people come to Costa Rica just to have procedures done at this hospital.
Farmers Market: Every Sunday morning there is a local farmers market in the center of Santa Ana. Great place for delicious and inexpensive fruits and veggies.
Artisan shops: These shops are well represented in Santa Ana. Most sell locally made pottery and ceramics.
The Multiplaza Mall is a modern shopping plaza with a ten screen movie theater. A wide variety of clothing and goods can be found here. Movies at the theater are shown in English with Spanish subtitles.
Avenida Escazú: closed by to Multiplaza, this is a graet place to eat, to meet and amble. Best cinema in Costa Rica with IMax and VIP- theater. Great Restaurants, live music on weekends.
Pricesmart: Like the North American Costco membership warehouse.
Office Depot: Office supplies and electronics.
Automercado: Supermarket with great selection of local, North American and European products.
